Catwoman’s Purr-fect red lips

Everyone is raving about ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ the much awaited finale of the Batman trilogy. And Catwoman is getting her due.
I am not sure if I prefer the ultra feline sedutress played by Michelle Pfeiffer or the biker huntress played by Anne Hathaway.
I think Michelle still gets my vote though Anne is very modern and contemporary. I like her sleek, slicked back hair and flippable cat ears.

But one thing they both have in common are perfect red lips. Its part of the seductress glamourous persona embodied by Catwoman.
For perfect red lips you need a true red lipstick.
I like Russian red by MAC but you have  to blot it a couple of times for the perfect t finish.
Lancome is the dark horse where lipsticks are concerned but they have an incredible red in their L’Absolue rouge line called Absolute rouge. It is so red that you may want t to use it as a stain or a smudge. Apply and wipe off gently with a tissue or rub with a finger to leave a deep red stain.
Dior has Ara 999 which is a strong red but I do find Dior lipsticks don’t hold as well as I would like them too.

Make up forever ( their lipsticks do last ) has Matte bright red in its Rouge Artist intense line which has a rich matte finish which gives lips fullness.

Perfect red lips must have a flawless finish, no ragged or bleeding edges. For best results apply to prepped lips with a lip brush ,blot gentlywith a tissue, then reapply directly with lipstick. Blot again. Matte lipsticks tend to crack so use  a touch of gloss after finishing .

The rest of the make up should be flawless too. Keep eye makeup and blush minimal for red lips to take centre stage.

I love Ruby woo. I think it’s the best red for yellow tinged Indian skin tone. However, it doesn’t glide on well.
