I was at the preview of Mumbai’s first Louboutin store and  here’s a peek at what’s on offer.

Louboutin’s opening coincides with my seventy -fifth blog post. That’s rather a nice coincidence. Or a karma connection!

The store in the Horniman circle precinct is in an old heritage building with high ceilings and lots of natural light and reflective surfaces showing off the famous shoes at their best angles.

Hèrmes is next door just in case you feel shoe retail therapy is not enough and you need a scarf or two 🙂

Louboutin has been voted the most consistent luxury brand for three years in a row and his shoes, inspired by show girls and the glamour of show business have distinct attitude.

Which explains why the famous red soles can be spotted on many well heeled celebs:).

FYI Priynaka Chopra sports them in her new music video

He also has many famous quotes to his credit- one being that he would rather women found his shoes beautiful than comfortable and the other that shoes should make a woman feel undressed not dressed ..ooooh naughty !

I was very happy to meet him personally and interview him for a very chic design magazine but that’s the subject of another blogpost .

Ladies, Brush up on Fifi spikes, Paquittas and Lady sling backs though  I am recommending the “Intern”  a flat loafer ( yes really!) with faux spikes . I am not sure if they are on sale here .

There is  a small but significant men’s collection (see below)  hidden away  and accessed by a spiral staircase. Enjoy!
