Pink champagne from the Lakme Absolute Stylist range. Indian brand Lakme has upped its game with the launch of this range and I like this pastel, peachy pink shade that will work on the beach and for the day as well. It’s very much in keeping with the pastel trend of the season. I looked for a lipstick in this shade because I liked this so much. The closest I came to it was Power Addict in the Nine to five range but it turned out to be too dry and faded too fast for my liking .
Rita Hazan Root Concealer temporary colour spray is a life saver for anyone who has a problem with running to the salon for a touch up every twenty days or then letting the greys show. A paraben, alcohol, ammonia and peroxide free hair colour spray that is perfect for a temporarary root touch up until you shampoo it off. Its like dry shampoo – you need a can in your beauty closet for those off days.
Too cool for school is a young Korean brand that has wacky names, cool products and a bit of a dinosaur obsession in some of its packaging . This is their Too cool for Art class cream blush which melts in to the skin without any shine or residue. Thank you Rachana Nakra of www.fuffabulous.com/ for sharing this discovery with me. Rachana found this on a recent trip to Singapore. I love the packaging. This peach shade is perfect for Indian skin. If you don’t use blush start this summer and amp up that sun kissed healthy glow.
I have talked about French brand Avene in an earlier blog. I like this sunscreen emulsion because emulsion tends to be more fluid and gets very easily absorbed into skin. It has Cucurbita pepo which helps control the oily build up which is often a by product of using sunscreen. Sometimes I like to mention ingredient names because they sound so nice -Cucurbita sounds like a term of endearment but it is actually from the pumpkin family 🙂 This range is water proof and sweat proof which is a good thing in Mumbai’s humidity and it comes in various versions – panstick, spray and cream lotion but I like the emulsion for summer.
